Mark Lowenthal, Operating Executive, Personal Care
Mr. Lowenthal has over 35 years of experience in the consumer products industry. For the past nine years, Mr. Lowenthal has been working with private equity firms to identify and invest in undermanaged and undervalued consumer brands. In 2008, Mr. Lowenthal advised a private equity firm in connection with its successful buyout of European Soaps LLC, a distributor of luxurious bath and body products. Mr. Lowenthal became that company's president and CEO post-transaction.
From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Lowenthal was the president of Revlon Europe, Africa, and Middle East where he was responsible for planning and implementing a major restructuring of the company's business. From 1993 to 1995, he was executive vice president for Revlon Beauty Care and managed all of Revlon's U.S. mass-market health and beauty aid brands. Prior to Revlon, Mr. Lowenthal held various senior positions for Playtex, Inc., Almay, Inc. and Clairol, Inc.
Mr. Lowenthal earned his MBA from New York University and his BA from The University of Buffalo.
